Global Logistics Cluster: 3-Year Strategy 2012-2015
The 3-Year Strategy was developed to address the recommendations of the 2012 Joint Evaluation, and manage work undertaken at the global level to meet the needs of our partners in the humanitarian community. Based on the advice of stakeholders, and the findings of a comprehensive risk assessment exercise, the strategy outlines key goals and objectives that will direct efforts to improve emergency response and ensure the humanitarian community has the ability to save lives through timely and reliable logistical service support and information.
To that end the Global Logistics Cluster Support Cell has committed to focus on: (1) Providing crucial operational services, to support the humanitarian community. (2) Remaining accountable to all stakeholders. (3) Remaining effectively engaged in policy development at both the global and field levels.
