This one-day session training is designed to familiarize participants with the Logistics Cluster by providing an overview of the humanitarian system, cluster approach and functions of the Logistics Cluster in South Sudan. We also aim to provide space to discuss common logistics constraints and bottlenecks in the humanitarian response, and how they can be overcome.
COSTS: The training is free of charge for participants. The Logistics Cluster will provide lunch and tea/coffee break in the afternoon. Organisations need to provide transport to and from the venue. All administrative instructions will follow once all participants are confirmed.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Logistics Coordinators and Logistics Officers. We strongly encourage the participation of female staff.
NOMINATION DEADLINE: Monday, 17 February COB. We will confirm the list of accepted participants per each session by Tuesday, 18 February. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in attending.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We can accommodate up to 40 participants in total. We will do our best to accept at least one participant per organisation. Subsequent courses will be rolled out during the year. Preference will be given to NNGOs with active programming in field sites!
