Strategy 2022-2026

The Logistics Cluster strategy 2022-2026 represents a collective framework endorsed by partners and guided by the Logistics Cluster Team in Rome. It lays out the Logistics Cluster community of partners’ strategic direction and collective commitments towards a shared vision, mission, and values with an aim of supporting a more efficient and effective emergency response.

The strategy outlines collective commitments to strengthen coordination, enhance operational efficiency, and foster innovation in humanitarian logistics. By aligning efforts across partners, the strategy aims to enable faster, more effective emergency responses, improve preparedness, and build resilience within the global humanitarian supply chain.

The key pillars of the Logistics Cluster Strategy 2022–2026 are the following:

 1. Maintenance a broad partnership base: expansion of a diverse network of partners, including NGOs, UN agencies, governments, private sector, and academia, to enhance collaborative logistics capabilities worldwide.

2. Definition and dissemination of standards and policy: development and promotion of unified policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices to support consistent, high-quality emergency logistics responses

3. Strengthened response capacities: enhanced preparedness and surge capabilities through training, pre-positioning, resource mapping, and rapid deployment mechanisms.

4. Provision of operational support: delivery of coordination, information management, and common logistics services to fill common logistics gaps in the field.
