Description:

The Logistics Cluster in South Sudan responds to a complex humanitarian crisis marked by cross-border displacement from Sudan, seasonal flooding, cholera outbreaks, and widespread food insecurity. These challenges are compounded by hyperinflation and intercommunal violence, which severely disrupt access to vulnerable communities. The cluster operates from hubs in Juba, Bentiu, Bor, and Malakal, coordinating logistics efforts across the country. Activities include coordination meetings focused on capacity building and dry season prepositioning, particularly in the Greater Pibor Administrative Area and Northern Jonglei. Common services provided include road, river, and air transport. Information management is robust, with regular publication and dissemination of information products to support operational planning. Advocacy efforts are ongoing to maintain access and support cholera response logistics.
