Cluster Operation

Description:

In Sudan, the Logistics Cluster supports partners responding to the ongoing crisis by addressing critical logistics constraints that affect the delivery of lifesaving assistance. From Port Sudan, the Cluster leads national and sub-national coordination, information management, and common services. 

Free-to-user common storage is provided at five key hubs - Port Sudan, Kassala, Gedaref, Kosti, Ad Dabbah, and Tawila - while transport services are provided on a last-resort basis. The Cluster also coordinates humanitarian road convoys to hard-to-reach areas, consolidates, analyzes, and shares relevant logistics information, including physical access constraints, augments partners storage capacity through mobile storage unit loans, and advocates for solutions to logistics constraints through engagement with relevant coordination platforms.
