Lebanon Emergency

Cluster Operation

Description:

Lebanon is facing its most severe conflict since 2006, with large‑scale hostilities since March 2026 causing extensive displacement and a volatile security environment, while damaged infrastructure, border disruptions, and pressure on regional supply routes continue to hinder timely humanitarian assistance. To address these challenges, the Logistics and Telecommunications Cluster, led by the World Food Programme, was activated on 16 March 2026 to support the humanitarian logistics response. Building on the foundations of the Logistics Working Group, the cluster provides coordination and information management, and facilitates access to common logistics services, including storage in Beirut and convoy transport to hard‑to‑reach locations. These services support partners to continue delivering assistance despite rapidly evolving constraints.
