Control Tower
The Control Tower is an initiative aimed at enhancing coordination and visibility across the Caribbean regional logistics network. It provides real-time tracking of relief items as they move through key transit points, enabling improved management of stock levels, shipment status, and resource allocation throughout the region. Guidelines for the Control Tower are currently under development and will be shared with all stakeholders once finalized.
Logistics Hub
The Caribbean Regional Logistics Hub serves as a strategic center for the storage, management, and distribution of emergency relief supplies across the region. It plays a crucial role in prepositioning essential relief items on behalf of the humanitarian community to ensure a rapid and coordinated response during disasters.
Humanitarian Logistics Course
The Emergency Logistics Online (ELO) course is a self-paced, online training program developed jointly by WFP and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA). Designed specifically for the Caribbean context, the course provides humanitarian partners with essential knowledge and skills in emergency logistics management. It is freely accessible to all partners and offers flexible learning opportunities to strengthen regional capacity in planning, coordinating, and implementing logistics operations during emergencies.
