Infrastructure and Network Updates:

Airports: Herat airport is currently functional. Charter flights can be arranged into Herat upon request. Airfreight can be arranged into Kabul.

Road Access: The main roads into Herat area are reported as safe without major damage. Although congestion and some minor damage to arterial link roads have been mentioned, these have not been noted as operational constraints to response ongoing efforts. 

Custom Clearance: No change has been reported in the custom procedure. If cargo is coming from abroad (including from Pakistan). An approved tax exemption certificate is required by the Afghan authority for clearance purposes at the customs area. The Afghan consignee must arrange this.
