What is it?
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) is an abuse of power that destroys trust, harms individuals and undermines humanitarian action. For the Logistics Cluster, preventing SEA is not optional - it is essential to ensure that assistance is delivered safely and with dignity, wherever we work.
Launched under the leadership of the World Food Programme Executive Director Cindy McCain, in her role as IASC Champion on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment, this package is designed specifically for cluster coordinators and partners to integrate SEA risk mitigation into everyday activities. It helps identify and reduce SEA risks directly within sectoral operations, strengthening safeguards across the humanitarian system.
What is included?
Checklist: Outlines SEA risks linked to standard activities carried out by cluster partners, along with suggested mitigation measures aligned to each risk.
Workshop Package: Supports contextualizing risks and integrating Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) into cluster workplans and other humanitarian tools.
Why Use It?
- Simple, visual and adaptable materials that you can use in meetings, trainings and planning sessions.
- No need for specialized PSEA expertise or lengthy assessments - this tool is ready to use in the field.
- Proven in challenging contexts: piloted in multiple emergency operations in 2025, including by the Logistics Cluster in South Sudan.
