This forklift attachment, designed for 1.5-2.5 tonne counterbalance forklift truck, is a low-tech solution designed by Palladium on behalf of FCDO to facilitate waste management in the field. It may be suitable for materials including plastic, cardboard, cotton canvas, plastic tarpaulin and more. For efficient transport the unit is flat packed and goods can be secured on top. Minimal tools are required for assembly.
The process for the baling utilises 5 standard ISO wooden pallets, three ratchet straps creating a former. It is advised to additionally use a banding kit to secure the compacted material as a bale either on or off the base pallet.
