GUIDELINES FOR DONATING MEDICAL
SUPPLIES Donations of medical supplies (medications, surgical supplies, medical equipment) sent to the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS) must comply with these guidelines to ensure their effective and efficient distribution and use.
General Acceptance Criteria:
Donations must comply with the provisions set forth in the List published by the MPPS.
They must be classified and identified according to
:- Type of supply: medication, surgical supplies, medical equipment
- Name of the supply: catheters, Jelco tubes, IV lines, syringes, gauze, gloves, ETC.
- Medical supplies not included on the official list or that require a cold chain must be approved by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health prior to donation, via email to: donacionesmpps2026@gmail.com
Supplies must have a remaining shelf life of at least 12 months at the time of donation

All supplies must be clearly labeled in Spanish, English, or Portuguese, indicating the expiration date, manufacturer, country of origin, and lot number.
Additionally, medication labels must include the following information:
Name of the active ingredient(s),
Concentration or potency.
Dosage form.
Lists of controlled medications, psychotropic drugs, or narcotic substances must be submitted so that the lists can be signed and stamped by the Autonomous Services of the State Health Oversight Agencies.
UNACCEPTED SUPPLIES:
- Expired or past-date products
- Any opened or damaged medical supplies
- Supplies in individual-dose units from private sources (boxes, ampoules, blister packs, vials, among others)
- Mixed medical supplies.
Donating institutions or organizations must send the supplies to:
Collection Center, CONSALUD Warehouse (Former SEFAR), Las Adjuntas, Kilometer 0,
Los Teques Highway.
