The Kenya IASC Country Team met on the 5th January 2008 to discuss , amongst other topics,the adoption of the cluster approach.
A formalized recommendation was submitted to the Emergency Relief Coordinator- USG John Holmes.
In parallel to this process, our logistics collegues in Nairobi have proposed to have a logistics coordination meeting at 12.00 on 9th January.
In addition to general information sharing, specific items for discussion, include:
- common bottlenecks and requirements
- quick inventory of existing logistics capacity/facilities/activities in progress
- impact on regional logistics operations
The location of the meeting will be confirmed.
