ACTION POINTS

• Report access and security concerns/challenges through OCHA/Access WG accessreporting@un.org /osinskyy@un.org / southsudan.clustercargo@wfp.org Detailing also the impacts of the denial.
• Partners should submit SRF’s for river cargo.
• Partners selected for the Fleet training should ensure attendance. Any last-minute changes must be communicated to the Logistics Cluster by email.
• Share focal points for EVD preparedness coordination.

1. Jonglei and Akobo Response Updates

Common Storage: 

• In support of common storage for Akobo response, LC has loaned two MSU skins to rehabilitate the damaged MSU’s in Akobo. An additional MSU has been loaned to MSF to support the Akobo response and technician was deployed on ground to support with the MSU installation and rehabilitation.
• Rehabilitation works expected to be completed by 10 June 2026.

River: 

• 6 boats (140 MT) multisectoral cargo departed from Bor to Malakal on 4 June 2026 with an estimated time of arrival as 12 June. Onward movement to Akobo via Sobat is pending confirmation. Partners will be notified on ETD and ETA for Akobo.
• Malakal will serve as a transit hub. There may be a limited capacity for small cargo subject to SRF’s.

Road:

• Road conditions in Northern Jonglei severely deteriorated; access to Bor-Duk Padiet is limited. Roads beyond are largely inaccessible.
• Logistics Cluster will no longer coordinate convoys to Pibor due to physical access challenges or constraints. However, partners may move independently cognizant of the physical access challenges and insecurity along this route. 
• Equatoria Convoys: Coordinated on ad hoc request basis, subject to access and security clearance.

Air:

• Approximately 50 MT delivered. Air operations are now restricted to lifesaving and time-sensitive cargo only.

   

2. Training Updates

• Fleet management Training scheduled for three groups from 8-17 June 2026 (8-10, 11-13 and 15-17).
• All the partners who signed should ensure to attend, if a participant in the 1^st session is unable to attend due to last-minute changes, an email should be sent to Logistics Cluster before the due date.

3. 2026 Flood Forecast

• 
  Below-normal rainfall is expected in most parts of the country, with isolated cases of heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding and higher temperatures. This may reduce flooding but exacerbate food insecurity and water availability.
