Summary
The Logistics Cluster in South Sudan is a key enabler for organisations responding to the humanitarian crisis. Working with a community of partners, the Logistics Cluster supports operational relief item movements through various modalities, while also providing key situational updates to support decision making. The cluster has operational hubs in Juba, Bentiu, Bor, and Malakal. Coordination meetings are held nationwide on a monthly basis to present plans and updates from the Logistics Cluster and organisations, while working collectively to overcome constraints. Core services include road, river, and air transport, storage provision supported by information management through regular operational updates. The Logistics Cluster coordinated Training Working Group delivers targeted trainings aimed at building the capacity of national staff.
