- Year-to-date, the NFI Common Pipeline has supported 11,509 households in the Rest of Sudan region (RoS). To these
households, 144,953 items were distributed. - Non-Food Item (NFI) and Emergency Shelter (ES) Sector Partners have reported the following distributions from their own pipelines year-to-date: Adra has supported 1,982 households, Concern has supported 1,717 households, GOAL has supported 14,000 households and the ICRC has supported 323 households.
- As part of the Emergency Preparedness and Response (EP&R) Action Plan for the Rest of Sudan region, UNJLC worked
with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society to develop and execute a series of NFI & ES Sector-Related EP&R Workshops.
These workshops were completed in June, having trained a total of 96 participants from 23 INGOs, NGOs, communitybased
organizations (CBOs), and government counterparts. - UNJLC advocated for the NFI & ES Sector in allocation meetings for the Rest of Sudan region and secured US$598,000 for
the 2008 2nd Allocation of the Common Humanitarian Fund (CHF) for Sector activities. The breakdown of funds received
by organization is shown in the Current NFI & ES Sector Funding Status chart. - The NFI Common Pipeline was separately allocated US$1.625 million from the 2nd CHF Allocation, specifically dedicated
to procurement of life-saving NFI stocks for the Darfur and Rest of North Sudan regions.
