Documentation required for application for Palestinian Authority donation number:
1. Letter of Donation, which includes the contact details of the donor and the consignee. It should also include the details and value of the donation and confirm that the donated supplies are not to be sold.
2. Packing list, which contains the description of the items, packaging, number of pallets, number of units per pallet, unit weight and the total tonnage.
3. Health certificate, describing the contents and confirming that it is fit for human consumption.
4. Certificate of origin,
Procedure for application:
- Submit a covering letter and the above documentation to the Humanitarian Aid Unit, Palestinian Authority (contact details below)
- Either the consignee or the donor can request and/or follow up on the PA donation number
- The process should not exceed three days if all the documents are in order.
- Once the PA donation number is received it should be forwarded to the consignee’s customs clearance agent.
- It is advisable to begin this process before the humanitarian relief items are shipped to Egypt.
