Logistics Common Services and Coordination Support
WFP continues to provide common logistics services to support the Government and humanitarian partners in delivering relief assistance, leveraging nine warehouses with a total storage capacity of 78,000 m². In coordination with NDMA, WFP co-leads the Logistics Working Group (LWG), facilitating logistics information sharing, including access constraint maps through LogIE, and organizing regular LWG coordination meetings. To strengthen emergency response capacity, WFP deployed four Mobile Storage Units (MSUs) to support flood response operations, and an additional two MSUs to assist NDMA and GBDMA in Peshawar and Skardu districts, respectively. One Flospan was also installed at the NDMA Islamabad warehouse facility to enhance their current storage capacity.
Furthermore, a Gaps and Needs Assessment was initiated through the LWG to identify logistics challenges—particularly related to cold chain capacity—to guide the development of temperature-controlled infrastructure. Additionally, WFP continues to provide On-Demand Services (ODS) to UN partners and humanitarian organizations, further enhancing inter-agency coordination and operational response effectiveness.
