1. Overall Updates
- Erez West (Zikim): crossing remains open for offloads on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, alternating with uplift missions, also permitted on Fridays and Saturdays
- Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem (KS/KAS): crossing open for offloads from Sunday to Thursday; uplifts possible during the week, including Fridays and Saturdays.
- The crossing planning for “dual-use” items remain challenging due to last-minute changes in schedule from the Israeli Authorities. Next week “dual-use” coordination is planned on Tuesday and Wednesday.
-
In April, intermittent crossing closures due to Israeli holidays significantly reduced truck movements and humanitarian commodities entering Gaza. According to Israeli authorities, volumes are expected to increase to meet initial ceasefire threshold.
- Gaza Updates
- Collections at Zikim are maintained at approximately 100 trucks per day, for both commercial and humanitarian movements. Some congestion at the crossing persists; although sequencing of humanitarian trucks has improved the flow of collection operations.
- The Logistics Cluster is alternating collections between KS/KAS and Zikim.
- In April, the Cluster collected 8,620 pallets on behalf of partners from both crossings.
- The Cluster storage services continue to be provided, with 12 warehouses currently available across the Gaza Strip up to two weeks with extension possible on a case-by-case basis. Additional warehouses have been identified, which may allow for a further increase in capacity.
- Jordan Updates
- King Hussein Bridge - Allenby operates twice weekly, on Monday and Wednesday, with a 60 trucks quota from the Jordanian side, while Sheikh Hussein Bridge – Jordan River operates from Sunday to Thursday, with 15 trucks limit per crossing.
- Partners requesting Logistics Cluster–facilitated convoys in Jordan are reminded that all documentation, including customs clearance from both Jordanian and Israeli authorities, must be completed in advance. Incomplete paperwork risks trucks being returned or denied crossing, disrupting planning and incurring additional costs.
- Egypt Updates
- In April, 819 trucks were manifested, of which only 544 were offloaded, representing a 66 percent offloading rate.
- In addition to the requirement for pre-clearance through the UN2720 Mechanism and Israeli customs clearance for aid entering Gaza from Egypt, partners are still required to follow the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) Standard Operating Procedures and notify ERC of cargo movement through the 15-day or 48-hour forms.
- Fuel Update as Provided by UNOPS
- Fuel imports continued throughout April, primarily through Egypt, with limited volumes also received via Israel, and will continue in the coming weeks, with deliveries planned three times per week (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
- Partners are encouraged to communicate their fuel requirements promptly to UNOPS, and via their programmatic clusters as this is essential for planning import quantities and managing storage capacity.
- Partners are reminded to settle all outstanding fuel cost recovery payments as soon as possible. All invoices up to end-March 2026 have been issued. For any pending/missing invoice and other invoice-related questions, partners can contact the UNOPS team at Mokonent@unops.org.
- UN/INGO Upstream Truck Overview
- In April, a total of 2,650 trucks for 14 organisations were manifested (eight UN agencies and six INGOs), of which 2,268 trucks offloaded at Gaza crossings.
- Overall monthly trends remain largely consistent with previous months with a slight increase in truck volumes from Jordan, while other routes remain stable with no significant changes.
- Partners are requested to share their truck manifest weekly plans, to support advocacy with relevant authorities for increased slots and availability of the relevant authorities specifically for the inspection of dual-use items. Partners are required to submit their weekly tentative plan by Wednesday, and to subsequently submit the tentative daily plan by 10:00, with final manifest by 15:00.
2. Inter-Agency Pipeline
- As of 27 April and based on data from 19 humanitarian organisations, the total expected pipeline for the next three months is approximately 500,000 m3 (equivalent to over 260,000 pallets), with 46 percentof the pipeline reported through Ashdod, 25 percent through Egypt, 24 percent through Jordan, four percent through Israel and West Bank collectively, and the remaining one percent not yet allocated to a route. The pipeline is composed predominantly by food commodities, followed by shelter, WASH, and health items.
- The Logistics Cluster will continue facilitating pipeline data collection every two weeks, and the next deadline for partners to provide inputs is 11 May. Partners can reach out to the Logistics Cluster team for any questions at Palestine.logcluster@wfp.org.
3. AOB
- Depending on access and security conditions on the ground, the Logistics Cluster continues to facilitate both transport and storage services. Organisations are requested to submit a Service Request Form (SRF) minimum 72 hours in advance, to access common logistics services. Once the request is accepted, the provided SRF QR code has to be printed and placed on all four sides of the pallets.
- Partners are encouraged to contribute to the consolidated suppliers list, compiled by the Logistics Cluster team. The list may be requested by contacting Palestine.logcluster@wfp.org. The input source will remain confidential as organisation names are removed from the shared file.
- More information on the Logistics Cluster services, updates, guidelines, and related links can be found on the Palestine operation webpage.
The next Palestine Logistics Cluster coordination meeting planned on Thursday 21 May 2026.
