1. Overall Updates

• “Dual-use” Updates
• In the week commencing 16 August, “Dual-use” items are exceptionally authorised to enter through Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem (KS/KAS) on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is unclear if this arrangement – two days per week – will continue.
• Gaza Updates 
• Common storage capacity remains approximately 17,000 m² across 13 Cluster-managed common warehouses; three facilities are being replaced with better-quality, more accessible locations without reducing overall capacity.
• Jordan Updates 
• Between 01 and 18 August, the Logistics Cluster support team coordinated 11 back-to-back convoys comprising 336 trucks on behalf of six partners; 7,641 pallets of shelter, food and WASH items were delivered via Cluster-managed common transport services. 
• Cross-border operations for humanitarian cargo remained unchanged: King Hussein Bridge/Allenby Bridge Crossing (KHB/ABC) operates on Mondays and Wednesdays, with a maximum of 60 trucks per day; Sheikh Hussein Bridge/Jordan River Crossing (SHB/JRC) operates Sunday to Thursday, with a maximum capacity of 15 trucks per day.
• Egypt Updates 
• Between 01 and 18 August, 71 percent of approved truck movements – i.e. those coordinated through the Logistics Cluster and the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) – completed their deliveries and offloaded at KS/KAS.
• In addition to the requirement for pre-clearance through the UN2720 Mechanism and Israeli customs clearance for aid entering Gaza from Egypt, partners are also required to follow the ERC Standard Operating Procedures and notify ERC of cargo movement through the 15-day or 48-hour forms.
• Fuel Update (UNOPS)
• UNOPS in Gaza collects fuel at KS/KAS three times per week (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday). 
• Total UNOPS fuel storage capacity in Gaza is approximately 1.1 million litres. Three fuel stations are operational: one in Az Zawayda and two in Gaza City.
• Partners are reminded to settle their fuel invoices as soon as possible and that funds must be sent from organisation bank accounts, not from individual accounts (for both international and local transfers). In case of any issues, please contact the UNOPS team at Mokonent@unops.org
• Local NGOs are kindly requested to transfer payments to the UNOPS local bank account, while international NGOs must use the UNOPS US bank account. Only payments from corporate accounts will be accepted. 

2. Key Advocacy Points

• The Cluster Support Team consolidated and raised for discussion of prioritisation five advocacy points shared by partners: 
• opening additional crossings and extending operating hours, including for dual-use checks; 
• improving clarity on UN2720/Mercury approvals and denials;
• increasing the entry of operational enablers; 
• supporting special-handling cargo; and 
• maintaining remaining logistics infrastructure.
• Partners reported that the priority for advocacy is to improve clarity on UN2720/Mercury processing timelines and reasons for denials. Concerns included inconsistent classification of dual-use items, unpredictable and additional inspection requirements, approvals cancelled after truck coordination, limited platform language options, and individual components delaying approvals for entire kits.
• Partners also prioritised increased approvals for operational enablers, particularly engine oil, whose continued absence could disrupt operations, as well as fuel, tyres, and vehicle and generator spare parts.
