1. General Updates
- Karem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem (KS/KAS) Cargo Collection
- Routing for collections and internal dispatches remains constrained due to movement restrictions with no indication of the imminent reopening of Salah Al Din Road, which continues to limit movement.
- Since the collection operations resumption on 4 March, a total of 11 Cluster collection missions were completed this month. This week, operations are affected by the upcoming Passover holiday.
- Israeli authorities have imposed new restrictions allowing only international staff to access the platform.
- Partners are reminded to ensure proper quality palletisation from their suppliers, to limit issues while handling cargo in Gaza.
- Erez West (Zikim) crossing remains closed until further notice.
- Coordination for the entry of dual-use commodities, including generators, fuel, and spare parts, remains challenging due to lack of approvals, high rate of rejections, and changing schedules by authorities. . Last dual use authorisation was on 30 March, and the next one is scheduled for 9 April.
- The Cluster continues to expand storage capacity. Two newly contracted warehouses (one in the north and one in the Middle Area) are planned to become operational within the next 10 days, increasing total capacity to 15,570 square metres across Gaza. Further expansion in Gaza City is being considered.
- The Cluster will explore offering specific warehouse safety and security trainings to partners.
- Between 16 and 29 March, 256 trucks were manifested via the Egypt route, with 216 trucks offloaded (84 percent offloading rate), marking an improvement along this route.
- Through Jordan, Back-to-Back (B2B) convoys continue, with 50 trucks per day twice a week via King Hussein Bridge – Allenby, and 15 trucks per day via Sheikh Hussein Bridge – Jordan River crossing. Between 16 and 29 March, the Cluster facilitated six B2B convoys with 198 trucks offloaded at KS/KAS.
- Through the West Bank, 30 trucks offloaded in total at KS/KAS on 16 Mar and 25 March.
2. UN/INGO Upstream Truck Overview
- Cargo movement volumes between 1 and 29 March continue to fluctuate, with an overall downward trend which is expected to continue during the upcoming period, particularly due to a limited number of partners (eight UN agencies and seven INGOs) able to manifest.
- The Jordan corridor movements are ongoing with variable convoy sizes, dependent on KS/KAS openings and “dual-use” entry dates.
- Ashdod volumes remain low due to continued issues with the reduced scanner capacity, with no timeline provided for full functionality to resume.
- West Bank movements continue on an alternating basis between the two crossings of Shaar Ephraim and Tarqumia).
- “Dual‑use” items manifesting procedures remain unchanged. Allocated days for entry via KS/KAS must be respected, and partners are required to coordinate bilaterally with Israeli authorities in advance of one week to ensure crossings are informed and inspection resources are arranged.
3. Common Services Overview
- Between 16 and 30 March, the Logistics Cluster facilitated the collection and transport of 6,426 pallets of aid inside Gaza.
- Temporary storage time has been extended to up to two weeks. Possible further extensions may be considered ad hoc, based on partner dispatch plans. Partners are invited to share challenges affecting their warehousing operations and access.
- Depending on access and security conditions, the Logistics Cluster continues to facilitate both transport and storage services. Organisations are requested to submit a Service Request Form (SRF) minimum 72 hours in advance, to access common logistics services. Once a request is accepted, the provided SRF QR code must be printed and placed on all four sides of the pallets.
4. Gaza Humanitarian Storage Capacity Survey
- The Logistics Cluster presented the results of the first round in 2026 of the Gaza Humanitarian Storage Capacity Survey, with a total of 23 organisations that participated. The key findings are:
- 102 warehouses were reported overall with a total capacity of 192,206 square metres. Of these, 55 percent are operational and 45 percent non‑operational.
- 11 warehouses remain non‑operational, primarily due to both access constraints and infrastructure damage (78 percent), mirroring the previous survey round. 91 warehouses were reported as operational at the time of the survey.
- Storage capacity increased notably in Deir Al Balah and Gaza City, while reductions were observed in Khan Younis and North Gaza. Rafah figures remained unchanged.
- Several partners indicated a need for storage and others a willingness to share capacity. The Cluster can facilitate connections among partners for warehouse sharing purposes.
5. AOB
- Partners are encouraged to contribute to the consolidated supplier list, compiled by the Logistics Cluster team. The consolidated suppliers list may be requested by contacting Palestine.logcluster@wfp.org. The input source will remain confidential as organisations’ names are removed from the shared file.
