1. General Updates

• The entry of “dual-use” items is scheduled for Wednesday and Tuesday at KS/ KAS in the week commencing 31 May. 
• Due to an incident at Sheikh-Hussein Bridge-Jordan River (SHB) crossing, there was no cargo movement from Jordan on Sunday. 
• The Cluster has made available one additional warehouse inside Gaza, bringing the total Logistics Cluster storage capacity in Gaza to 17,500 square meters.
• Logistics Cluster warehouses are becoming progressively more congested due to increased aid cargo prepositioning and the consolidation of stocks at certain locations.
• In light of increased tensions and the risk of further escalation, preparedness discussions have been initiated through the ICCG as a contingency exercise, focusing on potential impacts on crossings, warehouse locations, access routes, and inbound aid flows. Partners are encouraged to prioritise stocks and strengthen contingency planning, with further discussions to follow.
• Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem (KS/KAS) Cargo Collection 
• KS/KAS is open throughout the week for cargo collection and missions from the Gaza side, with no major updates on opening status.
• Since 1 June, a new checkpoint has been installed leading to KS/KAS which implements driver ID checks, causing significant delays and even cancellations. Platform access remains unchanged, with delays affecting activities such as the physical inventory.
• Zikim Cargo Collection
• Zikim crossing will remain closed, with no uplift missions since 22 May. Indications suggest that works are ongoing at Erez for a potential future opening.

2. UN/INGO Upstream Truck Overview

• In May, 3,084 trucks were manifested across all corridors, of which 2,414 were offloaded. 22 percent did not offload; most of the rejections/returns took place from the Egypt route. Daily volumes fluctuated, with a peak of 219 truck movements on 12 May.
• Through Egypt, in May, 1,102 trucks were manifested, of which 506 were offloaded (50 percent). Returns and rejections increased, with poor pallet conditions cited as the reason for the rejections upon arrival at the platform, likely resulting from inspection processes.
• Through Jordan, operations continue via King Hussein Bridge-Allenby (KHB) (twice per week, 50 to 60 trucks per crossing, offloading on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Gaza crossings) and SHB (five times per week, 15 trucks per day). This week a fire at SHB caused disruptions in the crossing schedule.
• Partners are requested to share their truck manifest weekly plans to support advocacy with relevant authorities for increased slots and availability of the relevant authorities for the inspection of dual-use items. Partners are required to submit their weekly tentative plan by Wednesday, the tentative daily plan by 10:00, with final manifest by 15:00.

3. Common Services Overview

• In May, the Logistics Cluster facilitated the collection of 10,858 pallets from Gaza crossings and received 10,266 pallets in Cluster warehouses across the Gaza Strip on behalf of ten partners.
• To improve end-to-end tracking, partners are requested to confirm - based on the waybill – the dispatch date and receipt status (received in good condition/damaged/lost) once cargo arrives at their warehouse.
• Depending on access and security conditions, the Logistics Cluster continues to facilitate both transport and storage services. Organisations are requested to submit a Service Request Form (SRF) minimum 72 hours in advance, to access common logistics services. Once a request is accepted, the provided SRF QR code must be printed and placed on all four sides of the pallets.

4. AOB

• Partners are encouraged to contribute to the consolidated supplier list, compiled by the Logistics Cluster team. The consolidated suppliers list may be requested by contacting palestine.logcluster@wfp.org. The input source will remain confidential as organisations’ names are removed from the shared file.
