Khosravi (Mundhiriya on Iraqi side) has been designated as official EP in the UN SC Res 986. It is near Kermanshah and provides direct access to Baghdad (via Khanaqin and Baquba). The distance from Khosravi to Baghdad is about 240 km. Roads on both sides of the border are in good condition (asphalt) and a new border terminal has been constructed recently with customs and bonded warehouse facilities available on the Iranian side. Kermanshah hosts sub-offices of all UN agencies and is considered the main operational hub for both operations in Iran as well as trans-border.
