1. AIR OPERATIONS:
- TOTAL FLIGHTS ex DMK (24th May - 30th June): 112
- Existing and expected stocks in Bangkok are reaching capacity for the airbridge, which is due to end on August 10th funding permitting along with the rest of the Logistics Cluster activities. Organizations are being encouraged to start shipping goods directly into Yangon by sea.
- 4 airbridge flights arrived today, two for WVI with 58 mt of tarpaulins and shelter kits, 1 for CARE with 15 mt of kitchen sets, 1 for UNICEF/IRC with 34 mt of tarpaulins and medicine.
- Planned for tomorrow July 1st: 4 flights (2 for WVI, 1 for CARE and one for CARE/UNICEF/SCF).

HELICOPTER OPERATION:
- Five of the original ten Logistics Cluster helicopters were redeployed today (2 Pumas and 3 Mi8 MTVs). From this point on, the operation will continue with a reduced fleet of five Mi8-T aircraft. A system of prioritization has been established to maximize the use of helicopter cargo capacity.
- The option of fuel drums in the hubs is being investigated in order to increase the number of rotations each helicopter can fly per day.
- The helicopters have begun flying cargo directly from Yangon into remote villages before completing the rest of their daily rotations from the hubs. However, the maximum load that can be carried from Yangon remains 1 mt.
- A medevac was carried out today from Labutta to bring an MSF-H staff member suffering from Dengue fever to hospital in Yangon.
- Passengers are accepted on regular cargo flights to locations on the day’s manifest. Anyone wishing to use this service must complete a passenger movement request form (available on the Logistics Cluster website) and submit it before the midday deadline the day prior to travel. Passengers must get confirmation by telephone from WFP aviation Yangon that they have been included in the following day’s manifest.
- Passenger check-in for air transport from field locations back to Yangon now require reporting to the airfield no later than 11:00 on the day of the flight.
- Total number of locations reached up to the 30th of June: 88
- Total rotations: 463
- Planned for tomorrow: 4 helicopter distributions carrying food for WFP, shelter kits for WVI and UNHCR, and water purification units for THW/UNICEF.

2. ROADS AND WATERWAYS:
- A boat left on Saturday for Labutta carrying 350 mt of shelter, WASH and food for Samaritain’s’ Purse, MSF, ADRA, World Concern and WFP.
- Over the weekend Logistics Cluster trucks moved 120 tons of shelter goods for WVI and 20 mt for CARE to Pyapon, 20 tons of food for WFP to Pathein, and 80 m3 of education and shelter materials for UNICEF to Bogale.
- The Logistics Cluster has adequate capacity for all current movement requests within Myanmar, and will remain able to add additional trucks and boats if needed up until the end date of the logs cluster common services on August 10th.
3. HUBS UPDATE
- Renovation for the MSUs are ongoing in Pyapon. 100 m2 has already been fitted with proper drainage in preparation for further rain.
- Several more organizations have contacted the Logistics Cluster in Pyapon to request storage. The warehouses in the hubs remain fully used, but the Cluster still has extra MSUs available it can loan out to organizations to help ensure storage capacity both in the immediate and for the extended emergency mission.
4. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES
- A list of villages with trusted coordinates from the TCG assessment is now on the Logistics Cluster website to assist with the forward movement of humanitarian aid to remote locations.
- The new appeal for the continuation of the Myanmar Nargis Cyclone emergency response will be launched in New York and Geneva on July 10th. The Logistics Cluster will not appeal for additional funding and will be ending operations on August 10th. Common service transport and warehousing will cease on this date. Any organization needing information on budgeting for logistics in the new appeal should ask the Cluster for assistance.
