1. HIGHLIGHTS
- The Bangkok Logistics Cluster meeting took place today in Bangkok.
- The Yangon Logistics Cluster meeting will be held tomorrow FRIDAY 30th at 14.00 hours.
2. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES
- Cargo is continuing to arrive to the DMK staging area in Bangkok. It is important to stress that partners use established procedures to facilitate further transport into Myanmar.
- Trucks planned to be loaded today from Yangon:
19 mt of logistics support equipment to Pyanpon (Logistics Cluster)
7.2 mt w/hs to Pyapon (Logistics Cluster)
212 mt of food for WFP to Maw’Gyun
1 mt of tent to Bogale for Welthungerhilfe/German Agro Action
3. AIR OPERATIONS
- Today the following fight came into Yangon :

4. WATER TRANSPORT
- A boat is loading today NFIs for a medical NGO and Merlin. The items will be delivered in Pyapon, Bogalay. Another boat for Setsan is also loading NFIs for a medical NGO. The boat is scheduled to depart tomorrow 30th May at 6.00 am.
5. LOGISTICS HUBS
Please see below updates on the actual situation of the Logistics Hub set up for the operation:
Mawlanyaingyun: location identified. 2,500 tons available in MAPT w/h
Labutta: 1,840 sqm (240 sqm dedicated to UNICEF, 1,120 to WFP, 480 available) operational
Pathein: 1,600 tons operational
Pyapon: 480 sqm
Bogale: 1,200 sqm operational (240 sqm dedicated to UNICEF)
6. NEXT LOGISTICS CLUSTER MEETING
- The next meeting of the Yangon Logistics Cluster will be held tomorrow Friday 30th May 2008 at 1400 hrs.
