Logistics Situation Update.

• Road Access:
• Major highways from the metropolitan area to the provinces are blocked. However, travel is possible via public transportation, with all the associated risks.  
• Mobility restrictions are affecting the delivery of aid to several areas of the metropolitan region. 
• Air access:
• Port-au-Prince (PAP): International commercial flights remain suspended. In fact, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the U.S. agency responsible for civil aviation regulations and oversight in the United States, has extended the ban on commercial flights to Port-au-Prince through September 2026. 
• Cap-Haïtien, Les Cayes, Jacmel: domestic flights and some international routes are operational (Cap-Haïtien). Additionally, flights to the Dominican Republic resumed on May 30 to and from Haiti via Cap-Haïtien Airport. 
• UNHAS humanitarian flights were briefly suspended in the Port-au-Prince airspace during the week of June 25–29, 2026. Make-up flights were organized on May 30 and 31. However, this suspension impacted the scheduling of humanitarian flights to Belladères, Saint-Marc, and Port-de-Paix. Partners are still awaiting new dates for these flights; the Logistics Sector will support discussions to this end. UNHAS flights continue from Juvénat to Cap-Haïtien, and then from Cap-Haïtien to Jacmel, Les Cayes, and Jérémie. • • Maritime access:
• Ports, including the one in Port-au-Prince, remain operational.
• Maritime transport continues to offer a stable logistics option for moving cargo between different regions.
• • Fuel:
• No fuel shortages have been observed so far this year. 
• Partners are invited to report any physical access constraints observed in the field on the LogIE platform via this link: Haiti. A mobile app is available to facilitate the reporting of physical access constraints via mobile phones. • Progress on Logistics Sector Efforts

Logistics Services Provided 

• Maritime transport to the South and North: The Logistics Sector facilitated the maritime transport of 85.5 MT of NFI items, including 20.4 MT to the South and 65.1 MT to the North, for three humanitarian partners. 
• Road Transport Service: The Logistics Sector provided road transport for 133 MT of medical supplies to the southern part of the country for five humanitarian partners.
• Emergency flight: The Logistics Sector facilitated an emergency flight to transport 45 oxygen cylinders to the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Deschapelles to support the medical response.
• Partners are encouraged to submit their transport needs (maritime and road) via the RITA platform, accessible through this link: Rita - Relief Item Tracking Application. 

Launch of visits to government authorities

• As part of efforts to strengthen coordination with authorities responsible for logistics operations and import procedures, the Logistics Sector conducted a courtesy visit to airport authorities (AAN) to initiate discussions and strengthen collaboration.
• The Logistics Sector has also initiated contact with customs authorities. Planning for a coordination visit is underway to facilitate discussions on clearing procedures, operational challenges, and the needs of humanitarian partners.
• Plans are in place to update and simplify existing tools to make them more accessible to partners, while incorporating the latest requirements from the relevant ministries.

Preparation for the hurricane season at the departmental level

• The Logistics Sector will support the preparedness workshop in the southern part of the country with the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC), as part of hurricane season preparedness activities.
• The Logistics Sector is also planning to hold a workshop on the logistics contingency plan to strengthen coordination and response mechanisms in the event of an emergency.
