The Global Logistics Cluster Support Cell took the opportunity to advocate to the donors:
- for the strenghtening of logistics capacities withing all humanitarian organisations;
- and to understand that the implementation of the Cluster Approach will require much more efforts than originally expected and should require their full attention and support also beyond the second global appeal.

Following popular demand HRSU will be organising a Workshop "The Cluster Approach: How did you make it work?" in Kampala, Uganda, for three days during the week of 11-13 June 2008.
The key objectives of the workshop are as follows:
Cross fertilisation of knowledge amongst cluster coordinators and through this the establishment of an 'on-line network' to facilitate education in this area of work.
Mutual sharing of experiences between global and field level to provide a clearer understanding of mutual support required.
Regional support required to enhance field activities.
In addition, there will be a Global Humanitarian Platform (GHP) event 9 and 10 June. By combining these events it will help to reinforce partnerships and humanitarian reform.
