Non-Medical Items from Egypt to Gaza:
It was confirmed that humanitarian aid access from the Egypt to Gaza for nonmedical items does proceed to El-Aouga border crossing where is dropped by the Egyptian trucking companies.
From Nitzana to Kerem Shalom:
At the international boundaries between El Aouga and Nitzana, the cargo is offloaded by the Egyptian trucking companies and loaded into an Israeli-approved trucking company, which carries the cargo and departs from the Nitzana crossing, entering Israel. Then, the trucks proceed to the Kerem Shalom crossing on Road 10 (which is a parallel road to the international boundaries, Philadelpie route).
Specific requirements:
The cargo that enters Nitzana from El-Aouga should be previously palletized as per the set Israeli requirements. The maximum height is 160 cm. The pallet itself should be either 120 cm by 100 cm or 110 cm by 110 cm. Pallets need to be properly strapped, secured and filmed, possibly with labels indicating the relevant description and gross weight (Note: goods cannot overflow the pallet size).
Prioritization:
A Customs Officer dealing with both the Egyptian and Israeli authorities ensures that, through a combination of UNRWA prioritization and a first-come first-serve basis, cargo enters through the El-Aouga crossing in a timely basis.
