In response to the situation in Bangladesh the Global Logistics Cluster Support Cell will deploy an Interagency Logistics Response Team (LRT) to asses the logistics needs within country. I will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday night and will be followed on Sunday by Daniel Adriaens from Action Contre La Faim, and on Monday by Jurgen Hulst from UNICEF. Both Daniel and Jurgen participated in the Logistics Response Team training held two weeks ago in Brindisi, Italy.
Earlier today the Logistics Cluster was activated. The first Logistics Cluster meeting has been scheduled for Monday at 11am at the WFP offices in Dhaka.
