Since the onset of the political crisis, humanitarian actors have deployed considerable efforts to optimizing preparedness in Côte d’Ivoire and its neighbouring countries. To further enhance coordination in ensuring an effective response to the developing situation and in order to adequately respond to a possible emergency in Côte d’Ivoire, the Cluster approach has been adopted in Côte d’Ivoire and together with other clusters the Logistics Cluster was activated on 19 January 2011.
This webpage will provide a platform for sharing and coordination of the logistics information related to the humanitarian response in the region and particularly in Côte d’Ivoire. As the humanitarian implications exceed Côte d’Ivoire itself and effect the entire region, this page will also host logistics information for Liberia, Ghana, Burkino Faso, Guinea and Mali as additional sub-locations (see on the Locations drop-down menu under the Countries heading).
