Cargo Movement procedure
Following are the steps In order to use common services of Logistics Cluster led by WFP:
1. Obtain Cargo Movement Request form. Hard copies are available from Logistics Cluster office in Maputu and Caia. Soft copies can be found here
Cargo Movement Requests:
Cargo Movement Request (CMR) is a recording and cargo movement prioritisation tool, and part of commodity dispatch tracking and information system. It serves a key purpose in Logistics Clusters activities in regards of tracking relief commodities dispatched through a Common Transport service within a humanitarian crisis operation.
2. Critical information to mention on the Cargo Movement Request:
a) Organization
b) Sender: contact person, title, contact phone, e-mail
c) Consignee: contact person, title, contact phone, e-mail
d) Cargo moved from and to – Destination
e) Cargo ready to move date
f) Cargo description part: quantity, Unit of Measure, description of items, package type, package quantity, total gross weight and volume
g) Comments: special information on cargo: cold chain, dangerous goods
h) Signature & date
3. Submit your request to Logistics Cluster:

4. Follow up: Logistics Cluster will inform customer about date and time when cargo will be loaded and moved to the respective destination
