Summary

Content

Highlights:

• A fuel management system has now been put in place to boost the number of
rotations each helicopter can fly in a day. Fuel is taken to the hubs in a bladder and
the remainder returned to Yangon at the end of the day. This has resulted in a
substantial increase in cargo delivery capacity.
• To assist organizations in applying for their own FOC (Free of Charge) permit for
humanitarian goods entering Myanmar, the Logistics Cluster has compiled a
procedure bulletin. This is now available at www.logscluster.org/mm08a.
• The Logistics Cluster is holding workshops in Yangon and the hubs to coordinate a
smooth transition and cost sharing between organizations which will be continuing
operations in the Delta over the coming months.
