1. Status Update and Logistics Working Group Update

Status Update: 

• Roadblocks: No roadblocks; main roads are passable. However, the state of emergency remains in effect.
• Fuel: Some lines persist at gas stations for diesel (3–4 days).
• Food: Prices remain high due to the dollar’s appreciation. 
• Exchange Rate: Transition from a fixed exchange rate to a flexible exchange rate system.
• Medications: The situation is improving, although import costs have risen.
• Land Transportation 
• National land routes are open; no active roadblocks are currently reported. 
• The country currently has a better fuel supply, but it has not yet returned to normal (diesel).
• Air Transport  
• International airports remain operational, and demand for shipments has stabilized.
•  El Alto International Airport, Viru Viru International Airport
• Warehousing
  • The situation has improved, though some partners have reported limited space at certain warehouses in El Alto  
• Logistics Task Force
  • Coordination
    • Five GTL coordination meetings in Bolivia (to date).
    • Meetings with various humanitarian actors to understand logistical gaps and needs.
    • Workshop and/or training on the use of the SRF (Service Request Form) for humanitarian partners.
  • Information Management
    • Launch of the Logistics Gaps and Needs Survey and/or Gaps & Needs Analysis; deadline July 24.
    • Launch of the website and LogIE for the Logistics Working Group.
    • Update of the mailing list and WhatsApp group.
• Logistics Services (free of charge)
  • Air/ground transportation—approximately 181.9 metric tons have been transported to date.
• Distribution of food kits in Tarija, vaccines, hygiene kits, food kits, and other items
• Pipeline/Demand: Transportation of vaccines, food kits, and hygiene kits.
• Scheduled transport to Oruro – loading consolidation
• Requirements for Accessing Logistics Services
• Users must complete the SRF.
• SRFs must be completed at least 4 DAYS before the loading is delivered to the consolidation warehouse/shared warehouse.
• After submitting the SRF, the applicant will receive an automated email at the provided address to verify and finalize the request.

2. Partner Update

• One partner noted that they have storage space in warehouses located in the city of El Alto.
• In certain parts of the city of Oruro, stock-outs of diesel persist.
• More partners joined the transport convoy heading to the department of Oruro (the city and town of Chipaya).
• Importance of completing the Gaps & Needs Analysis form in light of the arrival of the “Super Niño” phenomenon, which is expected to affect the Amazon region and Beni, causing flooding and wildfires.
• Meetings will be scheduled on a monthly basis.

3. Other Business (AOB).

A presentation was given to explain the actions being taken by the GTL to implement specific activities in Bolivia, with the aim of:

• Outline the process for completing the Logistics Gaps and Needs Analysis form. Given the importance of this form, there is an urgent need to continue providing training and guidance.
• Promote collaboration among humanitarian partners and government institutions for land and air cargo transport, prioritizing food, medical supplies, and essential goods to optimize delivery times.
• Continuously update the Partner Database, incorporating a management system that facilitates its use and keeps the information up to date with email lists for the various organizations.
• Update the WhatsApp group to add participants and notify them of upcoming meetings.
