General Info:
Bashmegh is the access BCP to Sulimaniya in Northern Iraq. It has a good road link to Sanandaj and from there to Kermanshah. In the possible event of a large IDP concentration in the Penjwin area, Bashmegh (Basheh) is the closest BCP from which access to the vulnerable group/s would be possible. This BCP is linked to the town of Marivan and further with Sanandaj. Permit is required from BAFIA to access the border area. For areas under the control of the allied troops, it has been communicated by the HOC that no plans exist to levy any fees to taxes for humanitarian relief commodities imported into Iraq.
