Summary
On 14 April 2026, Global Support and Development (GSD), in partnership with Jamaica’s Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC), facilitated the Hurricane Melissa Maritime Lessons Learned Workshop in Kingston, Jamaica. The workshop brought together more than 40 participants from across Jamaican and regional maritime and disaster management sectors to review multisectoral coordination in response to Hurricane Melissa.
