Vehicles are still passing over the Agu bridge, but every day following the passage becomes more difficult.

The ramp (access) towards the bridge on the Kumi side has gotten eroded, many vehicles get stuck at that point.

It is strongly advised for all traffic moving between Kampala and Soroti to consider using the road via Lira.

Admitting that the road conditions might not be as good as going via Mbale - Kumi, the distance is only about 100Km more.
