Partners’ Reporting of Importation Challenges at BCPs

All partners are encouraged to report any importation challenges they are facing at the border crossing points (BCPs), either directly through LogIE or, in case of any issues, via the LWG Team: shabnam.noori@wfp.org,  aria.noor@wfp.org, paballo.mosala@wfp.org.

Call for Additional Border Crossing Points: Partners are encouraged to share with the LWG additional BCPs of concern if relevant to their operations. LWG will explore methods to monitor these BCPs and incorporate them into the weekly monitoring table and the LogIE platform. LogIE.

Humanitarian Service Provision: 

All the services listed below are provided on a cost-recovery basis. 

1. Humanity & Inclusion (HI)/Atlas Services: HI is providing the following logistics services to partners, with flexibility based on emergencies and space availability: 

• Storage  
• Transport 
• Capacity Building 
• Logistics Analysis 

2. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO): FAO is providing the following logistics services to partners: 

• Cargo Insurance   
• Transportation all districts of Afghanistan  
• Customs  
• Storage 

3. Solidarités International (SI): SI is providing the following logistics services to partners: 

• Office Space   
• Guest House 
• Warehouse space 

4. WFP's On-Demand Services (ODS): During the meeting, the Humanitarian Logistics Services (HLS) team focal point for ODS presented the available services and opportunities for partners based on a full-cost recovery basis, including:  

• Storage  
• Transportation 
• Warehouse Management 
• Light vehicle Maintenance 

• Fumigation and Pest Control

• Kabul–Islamabad: No regular flights, only special and charter clearances 

UNHAS Domestic (Passenger and light cargo service)​

Visa Requirement for Travelling to Afghanistan:  

It is now mandatory for all passengers, including those utilizing humanitarian air services, to possess a valid visa for Afghanistan. Passengers without a valid Afghanistan visa will be rejected for entry by the immigration authorities. Please note that for all passengers arriving on international flights to Kabul, it is also imperative to possess either a valid entry visa for Afghanistan or an approved letter from the authorities that grants a visa upon arrival.
