This guidance document produced by the WREC team aims to support humanitarian field practitioners with conducting assessments of companies specialized in waste management and recycling through the WREC assessment tool and to provide a general methodology to identify local companies offering these services in humanitarian contexts.

NEW TOOL!!! Kobo Survey for Waste Management and Recycling Infrastructure Assessment - Data Collection 

This survey is the digital version of the site visit questionnaire and can be used by humanitarian partners to assess waste management and recycling facilities through site visits. The survey has been digitalized with the collaboration of the Humanitarian Logistics Cooperative (HULO) and is accessible here: Waste Management & Recycling Questionnaire (kobotoolbox.org) in: English, French, Arabic, and Spanish.

The questionnaire is hosted at the WREC KOBO account. Any organization planning to conduct a country Waste Management & Recycling Infrastructure Assessment can use this link directly informing WREC in advance OR can create the survey in their own KOBO account importing the excel file of the survey (on request).
