In a move to identity future pathways of waste management and reverse logistics in the humanitarian context, the WREC Project has partnered with the Hanken School of Economics to conduct a qualitative study on "Waste management and reverse logistics in the humanitarian context". This report presents the results of a state-of-the-art literature review and an empirical interview study exploring both the academic and grey literature relating to waste management and reverse logistics in the humanitarian context and can be used as a reference by environmental and logistics practitioners to explore the correlations between environmental impacts and humanitarian logistics operations.
