Bolivia, Logistics Working Group, 2026
Involved countries:
Description:
Bolivia is currently facing a critical disruption in its supply chains due to prolonged blockades, severe fuel shortages, and logistical constraints, primarily affecting the most vulnerable populations. These conditions have significantly limited the movement of goods, particularly impacting key supply routes to major urban centres, including La Paz and El Alto.
To address these needs, the Logistics Working Group in Bolivia was established under the leadership of the World Food Programme. The Logistics Working Group operates within the framework of the United Nations Emergency Technical Team (UNETE) to facilitate the work and humanitarian distributions of the Humanitarian Country Team, of which WFP is also a member.
The Logistics Working Group provides support through coordination and information management, and by facilitating access to common logistics services. These services aim to support partners in continuing to deliver humanitarian assistance despite current logistical and access constraints.
