Description:
Two powerful earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 struck north‑central Venezuela on 24 June 2026, causing widespread destruction, particularly in and around Caracas. The Government of Venezuela has declared a state of emergency. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, while aftershocks and disrupted services continue to challenge the response and assessment of humanitarian needs.
The WFP-led Logistics Working Group is supporting coordination effors, facilitating access to critical logistics information and facilitating access to common logistics services at no cost to the user to enable the logistics response in La Guaria and other affected states.

Overland Transport
Transportation of humanitarian cargo from the main logistics entry points: Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS), Arturo Michelena International Airport (VLN) and Puerto Cabello Port to LWG warehouses in La Guaira.
Transportation of humanitarian cargo from neighboring states, including Miranda, Capital District, Carabobo and Aragua, to LWG warehouses in La Guaira.
