Air Shipment

Normal procedures

The procedure are quit easy and well organized it would take a maximum a one week to clear the goods.

Emergency procedure
Landing permission of an aircraft (at east 24 hours ahead of the arrival) is obtained through the assistance of protocol.informing ERREC (Eritrean Relief and Rehabilitation Commission) for storage, labor (for off-loading) and logistics assistanceUpon arrival of the aircraft, the consignee has to off-load and transport the shipment immediately (direct delivery from the aircraft granted). During acute emergency no owner is allowed to keep any type of shipments at the airstrip.

The customs formality must be fulfilled retroactively, as soon as possible after delivery.

Sea Shipment Normal and Emergency

Procedure is the same than the air shipment and it takes an average of four days for formalities between the ship-owner and the port authorities, customs officials.
