As a result of an ongoing drought, the Horn of Africa is currently experiencing a humanitarian crisis; populations in Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia, and Uganda do not have access to sufficient food, water, or shelter.

nullThe Government of Ethiopia announced that approximately 4.5 million people will require emergency food assistance during the second half of 2011 and the number of refugees entering Ethiopia, particularly from Somalia, is rapidly increasing.
