Logistics Cluster Global Meeting Bonn 2017

16 June 2017
Humanitarian Logistics

In early May 2017, the first of the bi-annual Logistics Cluster Global Meetings took place in Bonn, Germany. This meeting was key for the future strategic direction of the Global Logistics Cluster (GLC) as the voting for and establishment of the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) took place. Creation of the SAG will provide strategic support and guidance to the GLC and facilitate accountability to partners through reporting and annual reviews of GLC performance. The SAG will focus on enhancing partnerships and support implementation of the strategy whilst advocating for resources to support the activities of the Logistics Cluster. During the event, sessions also focussed on the Logistics Cluster Preparedness activities, finance and on partners acting as service providers. As a first for the Logistics Cluster Global Meeting, a market place session was held whereby partners could present on innovative projects and activities that their organisations are currently involved in.

It was a great pleasure to welcome colleagues, friends and members logistics humanitarian family in Bonn and we look forward to the next Global Meeting in November 2017. Thank you again to all those who attended and supported this very successful event.
